German Indian Startup Exchange Program – India Tour
The 23-members delegation trip of GINSEP – German Indian Startup Exchange Program, has kickstarted the GINSEP Indian tour on 18th February, in Bengaluru. GINSEP is a non-monetary platform launched by the German Startups Association. The purpose of the tour is to strengthen German-Indian economic relations in the startup ecosystem.
The German Startups Association, founded in 2012, has its headquarters in Berlin with 14 regional representations. The association has brought together 50 corporate members, over 700 startups, and business angels, to collaborate the economies.
GINSEP India Tour – The Aim
The tour, which is scheduled from 18th to 25th February, aims to bring startups, investors, politicians, and corporates from Germany, Bengaluru, and Delhi together. It includes visits to bigger startups like Flipkart, Paytm, and Ola, the Karnataka government officials in Bengaluru, and DIPP (Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion) in Delhi.
GINSEP India Tour – The Connections
On February 19th, the German delegation met a few startups working out of Bengaluru and attended a pitching session by startups belonging to logistics, transport, education, mobility, waste segregation, and Ayurvedic cosmetics industries. The distribution center of BigBasket was also invited.
This tour is serving as an opportunity for many delegates to learn and understand more about the Indian startup ecosystem., the sectors, and how a better connection can be established between the German and Indian startup ecosystems.
The tour has 5 more days to go, which shall certainly be fruitful with more connections and more learnings to take back to Germany.
